Reading cellular phone reviews before making a purchase on a new handset is very important, but it’s something that many people don’t take the time to do. Finding out what other people have to say about a product prior to purchasing it is just plain smart, and hopefully this article will help you do just that. So, if you’re getting ready to buy a new cell phone but haven’t done your research yet, this article is for you.
While there are many different places to go for cell phone reviews, there are 3 that I find myself constantly turning to first. Forums, blogs, and Amazon’s website.
The first place to look for mobile phone reviews is online forums. Discussion forums are often an excellent resource for choosing a cell phone as you’ll find many different opinions presented. Overall, this is my favorite spot for researching cell phone ratings and reviews.
The second spot where you can find cellular phone reviews is blogs. A weblog, or “blog”, is simply a web publishing platform that is easily updated with fresh information. There are many popular cell phone and technology blogs online that feature excellent reviews on today’s latest and greatest handsets.
The third place to go for mobile phone reviews is Amazon. Amazon has a huge base of customers who frequently post reviews after purchasing items. This feedback is very helpful in determining how good a handset really is, it’s upsides, and it’s downsides.
Hopefully this article has given you some good ideas for researching your next cellular phone. Remember, the biggest mistake you could make is purchasing your next phone without reading consumer ratings and reviews, so take a little bit of time and research your next purchase before making it. I guarantee that you’ll end up with a better phone at a better price because of it.

Analog-to-Digital Transition for Wireless Telephone Service
June 12, 2008 by Leticia · Leave a Comment
The Analog Cellular Sunset and Who Is Affected
As of midnight on February 18, 2008, cellular telephone companies will not be required to provide analog service. While most wireless telephone users will not be affected by this transition (often called the “analog cellular sunset”), some users may be affected. In addition, the transition could affect some alarm systems and some users of OnStar in-vehicle communications service.
You will not be affected by the transition if you:
- use a digital handset; or
- subscribe to wireless service from Sprint/Nextel or T-Mobile.
- You may be affected by the transition if you:
- use an analog-only handset (there are very few of these left in service); and

Used Cellular Phones - Should You Buy A Used Cellular Phone?
May 6, 2008 by Leticia · Leave a Comment
In today’s day and age, people go through cellular phones pretty quickly. While sometimes it’s the result of a cell phone getting lost or broken, many times it’s simply because the person gets tired of their old phone and wants something different. If you fit into this category, I’m going to show you in this article why it might not be a bad idea for you to buy used cellular phones in the future.
Buying used stuff has never been any easier than it is today. With the growth of the Internet, it’s now possible to find virtually anything imaginable, pre-owned and for sale. This has resulted in enormous growth of second hand sales, and it’s something that you should try when you’re ready to buy your next cell phone.
The most obvious advantage to buying a used mobile phone is the fact that you’re going to save quite a bit of money. Buying a gently used cell phone will allow you to get that new “toy” you wanted, at a cost that’s reasonable.
Another big advantage to buying a pre-owned cell phone is the fact that you won’t have to enter into any new contracts as a result of changing equipment. If you were to walk into any cellular phone provider location and purchase a new handset, it would either be extremely expensive or you would have to sign a contract in order to get the phone at a discount.
So where do you look for deals on used cellular phones? Personally, I always turn to eBay. I’ve found that eBay has the best prices on pre-owned mobile phones as well as the best selection. Note: Always purchase from a reputable seller with an excellent feedback record!
Hopefully this article has given you some good reasons for purchasing used cellular phones. Buying second hand phones is a great way to save a ton of money and I’m really shocked that more people don’t do it!

How to Customise your Cellular/Mobile Phone.
May 5, 2008 by Leticia · Leave a Comment
Our current choices of Cellular/Mobile handsets are really quite amazing, it seems that there is a phone to suit everyone, what ever your requirements and necessities.
The features of our phones are ever increasing and we feel somewhat comforted by the multiple uses of our handsets.
Almost everyone is sure to find a phone that will fit their needs, not just in the variety of the phones uses but also a handset that is aesthetically pleasing.
It might be the colour or the shape or even the feel of the phone or a combination of all three.
To many individuals it is as important to them to be seen with a smart phone as it is to be seen with the latest hair cut or that great pair of jeans that are a must have item of the time.
People are conscious of fashions and trends, of what they possess at the time and also of what others possess around them.
But what really makes people stand out is having something customised exactly to their tastes.
We are able to dress up our phones with accessories that will change the colours of the handset or we can add flashing accessories and a whole host of modifications to make our phone unique.
It gives us a feeling of being individual and aswell as being able to customise the hardware of the phone we find that we can also very easily customise the phone with content.
ringtones are sounding better than they ever have, this is down to the handsets being able to handle more voices and Polyphonic ringtones and Truetones sounding so much more pleasant compared to the ear piercing and harsh tones that used to emit from our bulky handsets years ago.
The choice of Cellular/Mobile content is enormous, with sites like premieringtones.com providing a constantly growing library of everything from ringtones and Truetones to Video, Games and Screensavers to brighten up your handset.
Customising your phone can be done very quickly and with a number of options to obtain the required content means that it will take up very little time of anyone’s day.
The fun part is that you get to show off to the world, well at least your friends and family, the unique looks and sounds of your Cellular/Mobile phone, and if you get bored of the ringtone on your phone it is just a case of taking a look at the huge amount of content available and in no time your handset will be feeling like brand new again with the great sounding Tones available or Games to keep you occupied or what ever you choose.
The future looks even brighter for the Cellular/Mobile world with new technologies always in the pipeline ensuring that we will all have new features and new ways of upgrading and customising our handsets.
Changing our phones appearance both inside and out is just a matter of choosing what we like best and what we feel says something about us personally.
We are all unique and we like to show that in our lives when ever possible, the good thing is that the choice for us is huge, all we have to do is choose.

LG C2200 Review - a Review of the LG C2200 Cellular Phone
April 5, 2008 by Leticia · Leave a Comment
Rounded towards the bottom and squared off at the top with a spunky external antenna, the LG C2200 is definitely a phone that stands out in a crowd. The external monochromatic STN type display screen measures 96 by 94 pixels in size is backlit in a cool blue hue and is surrounded by a circle of silver tone that really gives the C2200 a unique and stylish feel. The silver circle is then enclosed in a blueish black color that really allows the light of the screen to pop out of the phone.
Besides having an ultra cool exterior, the inside of the LG C2200 cellular phone is feature rich and gives the owner an instant feeling of high tech luxury. To start, the internal liquid crystal display shows 65,000 different colors and is a TFT type that measures 128 by 160 pixels. This screen is excellent for viewing all of the high resolution photos that can be taken with the digital camera. Even when the user zooms in on the photo with the up to four time digital zoom feature, details are shown clearly.
The C2200 also is compatible with Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) that enables the owner to send photos to other similarly capable phones with the touch of a few buttons. WAP 2.0 technology also leaves the option open for those who prefer to email their pictures to friends and family.
Besides just sending photos through email, C2200 owners can also browse the internet at ridiculously fast speeds. Never again will a stock trading opportunity be missed, and no matter where users go they’ll always be prepared with weather reports. As an added bonus, the battery life of the LG C2200 handset is fantastic. Since it will last up to 200 hours on standby and 2.5 hours while being continuously used.
