The first & easist way to trace a cell phone number is to run a search with our service.

It used to be easy to lookup where a phone call was coming from as long as you knew the telephone number. Area codes for land lines are keyed to geographical location, so if you had the area code of the telephone number, you could be pretty certain that they were calling from the geographical area to which the area code is assigned. In some states and cities, you could even pin it down further by the exchange – the three numbers that immediately follow the area code. Those three numbers pinpoint the region within the area code. Depending on the population density and the number of telephone numbers assigned within it, you may have been able to pinpoint the exact city, or even the neighborhood from which a caller was calling.

eziegelbein asked:

I am looking at upgrading the cell phone to a Blackberry. If I purchase the phone somewhere else besides my cell phone carrier store, how do I add the phone to the plan? I would like to stop using my old phone and use the new Blackberry instead and simply use the same phone number. How do I change phones?

Prank Callers No More!

Let’s be honest. We have all probably been the victims of a prank call at one time or another (several readers will recall pulling the prank themselves, perhaps when they were younger)! But, while the people who are calling find it fascinatingly funny, it can really get on your last nerve. You want to reach your hand through the phone and choke them or anything else that will make them move on and find something better to do. The problem with tracing prank calls is that if it’s a cell phone number, you can run into problems. Since a lot of cell phone numbers are not listed, you can have a hard time finding out who the cell phone belongs to.

So, what do you do? Well, these days it’s fairly simple to find out who a cell phone belongs to, even if it’s unlisted. With simple web sites you can find out the owner and a lot of information about them. For example, at www.ReverseGenie.com, you can enter the phone+number" rel="nofollow">cell phone number and in a matter of seconds you will know who the cell phone belongs to. That’s not all though. You can also find out where they live, if they have ever been convicted of a misdemeanor or felony, if they’ve ever been married, where they were born, and even if they have ever gone into bankruptcy.

So, imagine that a prank caller is calling again and you answer the phone. Of course, before they get a chance to start telling lame jokes or breathing hard into the phone, you begin giving them details of their personal life. Maybe you tell them you know exactly where they were born, even though now they live at a different address. You might tell them their husband or wife’s name, and what they have ever been arrested for. You can just throw in any sort of personal detail at all that you have learned by looking up their cell phone number. Can you imagine what they would be thinking? Wouldn’t it be great? This is definitely a way that you can stop someone from prank calling you ever again.

All funny business aside, you may discover that someone very dangerous has been calling your house. Normally, cops will not use the time and resources to try to trace a cell phone number for a couple of prank calls. However, if you have proof that a convicted criminal has been calling your house, you can be sure the cops will get moving to do something about it. If you ever find out that someone dangerous is calling you, do not hesitate to report exactly who it is and demand that something be done about it. You never know what that person’s intentions are. Luckily, you can trace cell numbers easily through websites like this.
