Unfortunately, it’s a problem that many of us have faced at one time or another. The death of the cellular phone battery. But a dead cell phone battery doesn’t have to be the end of the world and certainly doesn’t require you to run out and purchase a brand new phone. That can be extremely expensive and isn’t necessary.
In this brief article, I’ll give you some tips on what to do the next time your cellular phone battery dies. Hopefully this overview will save you some time and money and show you exactly what your options are if you find yourself with this problem.
The first thing you need to do is check with your cellular phone service provider to see if the phone you purchased from them is under warranty. If the mobile phone is still covered under the manufacturers warranty or if you pay for cellular insurance, they should replace the battery without any questions.
The next option you have is to purchase a new battery. The best place to buy cell phone batteries for cheap is eBay. Online auction or classified sites typically offer the best deals when it comes to cell phones and accessories.
Last but not least, you could always use eBay to simply buy a replacement phone. This is a great alternative if you’re tired of your existing cellular handset and want to upgrade it or simply don’t want to invest any money into fixing it.
Hopefully this short article has given you some great ideas on what to do if your cellular phone battery bites the dust. While your initial reaction might be to panic, replacing cell phone batteries doesn’t have to be expensive. Remember, just because your phone died doesn’t mean that you need to run out and drop a few hundred dollars on a brand new handset.
Used Cell Phones: Does it Even Matter?

A lost cell phone is in no way in comparison to a lost tooth. Because with a missing cell phone, you can substitute it with a real one right away. Except possibly for the phone “body number”, you can even secure the same and exact unit that was lost.
And rightly so, there are lots of good reasons to purchasing a used cell phone. Let’s talk about convenience first. Buying a pre owned cell phone will save you from hassles and sickening formalities of signing a contract with cell phone companies. Most of us have been there and there’s no prize for the discomforting feeling of having to read again all those pages of warranties and rules just because your phone was lost or stolen. Activating pre owned cell phones only takes just minutes and can be done right at the comfort of your own sofa.
For example: If you are a subscriber to Cingular, T-Mobile, or ATT, simply remove your SIM card from underneath your cell phone battery (in most cases, this is where you will find the SIM), and re-insert it into your newly bought pre owned cell phone, and then the problem’s fixed! Yes, you heard it right, there’s no need to worry much over losing a phone because the solution is as easy as simply going down to your local cell phone providers’ place of business and asking them for a new SIM card. For Verizon, Metro PCS, and the like, where SIM card is of no use, you only have to dial *611 on your newly acquired pre owned cell phone, and a customer representative from your local phone provider will provision your phone with your existing account over the air.
And then we talk about practicality. The financial hassles of purchasing a new cell phone (indeed, new ones can be very expensive!) is apparently an irrelevant topic considering that you can often have a pre owned cell phone from the neighboring shops. You will save considerable amount of money with used cell phone than if you buy a new one. Plus, the great thing is, pre owned cell phone works just as well. To illustrate my point: A new Blackberry 8700 can go as high as $299, a used Blackberry 8700 can be obtained for only $129. Why dispose that huge amount of money? Buy the savings instead for better-tasting oatmeal!
Well, I already talked about two huge reasons (convenience and practicality) and they basically cover everything why you should buy a pre owned cell phone, but they are too concentrated on you and you. I have to kick one in that’s for the whole community: purchasing used cell phones will do something good for the environment. Cell phones are made up of various toxic chemicals that include lead and mercury. Over time, these harmful chemicals will leak out, and once in the ground, will eventually enter our water system. That only spells a bad future for us, a horrible future for our children. And what’s even sadder to realize is that many, if not most of these discarded cell phones, are far from being useless.
We might be at the mercy of our dear dentist if we lost a tooth, but I hope I made it clear here that we should not feel the same way if we lost a cell phone. Now we comprehend what to do and how simple it is to solve the dilemma on “lost cell phone”.
Cell Phone Accessories - Check Them Out

Accessories such a coat, purse, or shoes can either complete or
dress up an outfit. Cell phones have almost as many accessories
as Barbie does. Accessories can be practical, ornamental, or
just available. In the cell phone world there are practical
accessories that help you to operate the phone safely and those
that allow you to carry it safely.
Some, like downloadable ring tones, are there for you if you
want them. I have put accessories into groups to make them
easier to describe. There are operational accessories that
include battery chargers. Chargers are phone and model specific
so that they are not interchangeable.
Hands free kits can be bought that are easily installed in your
vehicle. These will let you talk on the phone and keep your
hands on the wheel. The signal between your phone and cell tower
can be strengthened with the use of antenna boosters. Where
there are weak cell phone signals these are really good.
There are specific batteries from your cell phone¡¯s
manufacturer and for your specific cell phone. Until you can
recharge your cell phone battery there is an attachment that
will your weak battery a boost. There are speaker phone kits.
Rather than drive with one hand and hold the phone with other,
these attachments let you talk on the phone and keep your hands
on the wheel.
Place dashboard mountable holders well within arms reach. There
are a number of styles of cases and holders. The eyeglass case
and horizontal case are alike. Pocket eyeglass cases are similar
to vertical cases. Cell phone holsters can be worn across your
shoulder like a policeman or on your belt.
Wear multi-use cases on your arm, your wrist, or your thigh. Not
only will these cases hold your cell but they will hold your
license and a few dollars. These types of cases will hold your
cell, your license, and a few bucks. These cases hold your cell
phone, your license, and maybe a few bucks.
Velcro(tm) are generally found on these cases. You can find
accessories for your cell that are technical in nature. Internal
accessories include downloadable ring tones and games to help
you pass the time while you are waiting. These ring tones can
include holiday songs, the traditional ring, or The William Tell
Overture.
Cell phones are little computers that are internet ready,
organizers, calendars, note recorders, and to do lists; they are
no longer just phones. They now have phone directories,
recordings of missed calls so you can return calls later, and
they record the identity of callers.
There are antenna boosters that strengthen signals and radiation
shields to reduce radiation exposure. Cell phone accessories
include covers and face plates. There are front and back pieces
to phone covers.
Face plates, some with designs, go over the keypad and the front
of the phone. Cell phone accessories include very cute plush
animal covers. They are both functional and cute, and the phone
goes in the back of the animal. The animal acts as a cushion for
the phone in case its ever dropped.
Prices of cell phone accessories and cell phones can vary. Most
accessories are optional and some are simply fun. It is
important to remember that not all cell phone accessories are
interchangeable. You should learn all about your cell phone and
how it operates.
Stay Connected With Cell Phones

Gone are the days when phones were used only for voice communication. Advancement in cell phone technology now allows you to send text messages, take pictures, set reminders for daily chores and pay your bills. With the wide range of features available, choosing the right cell phone can become quite mind-boggling.
Currently, Nokia, Motorola and Samsung are the market share leaders for the global cell phone market, and offer a wide selection of cell phones to meet every person’s needs. Cell phone costs range from less than $100 to more than $400, depending on the specifications. Your choice of cell phone should be dictated by the features you would like your cell phone to have. The first thing to consider is the cell phone size. As your cell phone will be carried with you most of the time, a slim and lightweight cell phone is the best choice. Cell phones also come with or without flip covers, and nowadays all cell phones allow text-messaging services.
Cell phones come with varying storage capacity for contacts - from as low as 50 to more than 200. If you want to use your cell phone to take pictures, then in-built camera phones of more than one mega pixel should be considered. Multimedia phones also offer short-duration video and voice recording features. These phones also have slots to attach to external devices for additional storage of your favorite pictures, music and videos. Another important thing to consider is the cell phone battery life. Battery life is the hours of talk time the battery supports. Many cell phones normally come with 250 minutes of talk time.
Other cell phone accessories include hands-free or speakerphone features. These would allow you to make or answer calls even while both hands are occupied, especially while driving. Cell phones with bluetooth or infrared technology allow the phone to connect wirelessly to your PC without having to invest in an expensive data cable. WAP enabled cell phones allow you to check emails even when you are on the move. It also enables you to use your phone as a modem. Medium-range phones come with in-built radio and MP3 features. Some phones also provide the option of changing cases to match your clothes to the occasion.
Cell phone ringtones have become popular nowadays and are a great way to add style to your phone. All phones come with preset ringtones but some phones come with options that allow you to compose ringtones. Many websites provide ringtone download services for free or at nominal charges.
Why You Should Shop for Used Cell Phones for Sale

No need to cry bucket of tears should you lose a cell phone. It’s not worth those precious tears of yours. Certainly, brand-new mobile phones still aren’t that cheap these days. But there’s one better alternative and it’s to buy used phones. It’s practically all over the country already.
There are a lot of healthy reasons to purchasing a used cell phone. Let’s discuss about convenience first. Buying a pre owned cell phone will save you from hassles and sickening formalities of signing a contract with phone network companies. Most of us have experienced the situation and there’s no prize for the discomforting feeling of having to go through those pages of warranties and rules because you lost your phone. Activating pre owned cell phones only takes just minutes and can be done right at the comfort of your own sofa.
Let us say that you are a subscriber to Cingular, T-Mobile, or ATT, simply remove your SIM card from underneath your cell phone battery (in most cases, this is where you will find the SIM), and re-insert it into your newly bought pre owned cell phone, and then the problem’s fixed!
How about the one closest to you pocket, practicality? The financial difficulty in purchasing a new cell phone (indeed, new ones can be very expensive!) is moot and academic topic considering that you can always have a pre owned cell phone from the neighboring shops. You will help keep considerable amount of money with used cell phone rather than if you buy a new one. Plus, the great thing is, pre owned cell phone works just as well. Pre-owned phones are normally regenerated phones so its warranted that their capabilities and quality is still at par with new ones. Why waste great amount of money for a same thing and of same value? Buy the savings instead for other much important goods. Phones, notwithstanding what others say, still remain a luxury so you need to be smart and perceptive on the amount of money you spend with them.
Above, I already talked about two huge reasons (convenience and practicality) and they basically cover everything why you should buy a pre owned cell phone, but they are too concentrated on what’s good for you. I have to kick one in that’s for the whole community: purchasing used cell phones will do something good for the environment. That only spells a bad future for us, a horrible future for our children. It’s even sadder to note that many, if not most of these discarded phones, are far from being useless.
So save the tears if you just lost a phone, you have a way smart option with used ones. Keep the tears for rainy days, it’s not worth it over phones.
