Never get lost again (unless, that is, if you loose your cell phone).
For the longest time, you had to buy a separate GPS (Global Positioning System) device or a high end phone if you wanted both features in one device. That’s of course until recently, when Nokia announced its 6110 Navigator phone which brings together GPS functionality with all the bells and whistles of a today’s mobile phone. With one push of a the phone’s one-touch Navigator key, its users will have access to a full range of personal navigation features including integrated maps, routing and navigation. That means users can find out where they are, or get directions to the nearest hotel, restaurant or gas station. The device can also suggest the best route (by foot or car) to get to a destination.Oh yeah, and since we’re on the topic of driving… users can take advantage of the phone’s built in speakerphone for turn-by-turn voice-guided navigation. As promised, you get all the other high-tech stuff too like 3G and HSDPA support, and a 2 megapixel camera with flash (sweet)! The phone has 40MB of free internal memory and can take up to 2GB on an optional microSD memory card. The Nokia 6110 navigator is expected to begin shipping next quarter with an estimated retail price of 450 euros.
