Have you ever experienced the painstaking task of waiting for a call? Have you tried waiting all day at your house without being able to go out to do other important things because you are waiting for a very important call like maybe a call from the company you applied a job for? With a cellular phone, people can reach you anytime, any place (within the network coverage), and any day. The convenience this device offers has prodded many people to purchase one for its being handy. If you are planning to buy a cellular phone there are several things that you have to consider to get the most value out of your money.

First and foremost, you have to more or less determine your usage time. The average numbers of minutes that you will probably spend using your phone in a month and how often you expect yourself to be making calls in a day are important factors to consider. Will your calls be used solely for important ones or will be using it to keep yourself in touch with family, friends, and colleagues? Most cellular phone operators offer different packages to fit your specific needs.

You also have to consider your budget. How much are you willing to spend on a certain mobile phone if you are buying a new one? How much will you be willing to spend for a monthly service? It is important to note your budget because we don’t want to end up being in debt if we can’t pay for these services.

To have an idea of what specific brand and model would best fit your requirements; try to read reviews on magazines or research on the internet. From these, you will be getting an idea on which brand and model to choose for your mobile phone. Take into considerations its features and determine if there are certain features that you wouldn’t need or wouldn’t be using at all. We all know that the more added features a mobile device has, the more expensive it would be. I suggest that you be practical and stick to your basic needs. Select one that you can afford and work within your budget.

You also need to consider things like cellular phone accessories. You would definitely need a charger for it. You can also find others that can be very useful like a hands free headset which is important when you are driving, a car adapter, colorful cases that you could mix and match with your outfit, and maybe a protective container for it.

Lastly, choose well your service provider. You will find that certain service providers offer good and affordable packages that even come with a free cell phone unit.

online background report?

The Samsung SGH-D357 is a well-rounded flip phone with non-volatile user memory and SIM card. The internal 65 kilobyte display features UFB resolution with an exact pixel count of 96 by 64 pixels - while the external EFB display features a resolution of 128 by 160 pixels.

The Samsung SGH-D357 comes with 64 individual polyphonic ringtones, and thanks to the high networking standard users are able to download more rings in no time flat. Though loaded with features, the phone is average-sized at 3.39” high, 1.81” wide and 0.96” thick. As a flip phone, the model features relatively ordinary design and engineering. However, the phone’s convenient touch-sensitive keys gives users more natural control over their phone than would normally be possible. Embedded JAVA games, wallpaper and JAVA-assisted downloading make this cellular phone a personable accessory.

Voicemail and voice memo give users excellent control over their networking schedules, and the built-in speakerphone function ensures that busy networkers will never miss a chance to chat. The SGH-D357 supports Internet browsing as well, and users will not be disappointed with the included SMS, EMS and MMS messaging support. The phone comes with instant messaging capability as well, and predictive text input streamlines the entire messaging process.

The Samsung SGH-D357 operates on the GSM 850 MHz, GSM 1800 MHz, and GSM 1900 MHz bands, and incorporates EDGE class 10 for speedy downloading and information transfer. Bluetooth is fully supported on this versatile and network-savvy mobile phone. Users can talk for up to 5 hours on a standard battery, or the phone will stand by for up to 200 hours.

Voice recognition technology further enhances the cell phone’s capabilities, and call cost/call time allow moneywise users to keep track of their chatting. Recent sent, received and missed calls are all held in the phone’s memory for the user’s convenience. The internal electronic phone book holds up to 1000 entries, and the phone comes with an array of personal information management functions, including calendar, alarm and memo book. The built-in push to talk features allows the user to connect to a preprogrammed contact with the touch of a button.

All in all, the Samsung SGH-D357 is a very nice networking phone for users who want to concentrate on making contact as efficiently as possible.

If you’ve ever shopped for a cellular service plan, you know what a confusing process it can be. Monthly billing, prepaid, bonus minutes, overages, early evenings, roaming fees, access charges and networking are all factors to consider, and it can be practically impossible to sort the information and make a well-thought decision.

When comparing to find the best cellular plans, you’ll find many perks that are offered by cellular providers in an attempt to secure your business. One of the best ways to hook new customers is by offering the phone for free. While packages differ depending on the service provider you’re dealing with, you’ll usually find the phone that you want is available to your free of charge — but also, at a price. Other companies offer cutting-edge phones at deep discounts. The question that remains is, how you can tell if you’re getting the right phone, and how much are you actually paying for this phone in the long run?

The trick that many cell phone service providers use is to clear their inventory of older model phones by giving them “free” to new customers. The best picture phones, flip phones, videophones and colour models are kept on the store shelves at sold at a premium price. So, if you’re looking into plans that offer free phones, make sure that you’ll have access to the latest digital technology to make best use of the provider’s cellular system.

This may still sound very complicated, but it doesn’t need to be. There are a few basic things to look for in your new phone. First, there are two types of networks that cellular service plans use: the Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) network, and the Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM) network. If you travel a lot you might consider purchasing a phone that uses the GSM network, as these cellular phones can be used virtually anywhere in the world. On the other hand, CDMA phones are able to pick up analog signals. While most service plans now run solely on digital signals, some users of older phones on long-term providers are still on analog systems. The big difference is that analog phones have higher roaming charges and burn through batteries much more quickly.

The best cellular plans will do more than offer a free phone. Another very important point to consider is the company’s history of customer service. If you’ve used the provider before, ask yourself if you were really satisfied with their service. Check with family and friends to see what they think about the plans they use. Ask if the service is prompt and helpful. You can also find a world of opinion by reading online blogs and user forums.

Shopping for the best cellular plans is about more than simply finding the best price; it’s about comparing products, user packages and customer service. There is a lot to choose from, so shop wisely and you’ll find the plan that’s best for you.]

When automobiles were first created (despite the fact that the greatest potential speed was approximately 20-30 Km/hr) individuals were of the belief that anybody who would utilize them on a regular basis would develop terrible diseases and will result in death. Nowadays, the speed of an automobile passes 200 Km/hr and individuals who drive them (or travel around in them) are all right.

Likewise, it is true that a cellular phone antenna gives off a particular amount of electromagnetic waves; additionally they utilize radio signals to broadcast sound. Although it is reliable information that excessive exposure to either (or both) are certainly hurtful, the amount given off by a cellular phone antenna throughout short regular voice communications is not truly enough to create a long lasting harmful impact.

The alert of the health hazard had begun when the Stewart Report had showed that radio waves (from cellular phone antennas) do in truth go through the human body. The report especially cautioned about exposure to small children and suggested that they would be better off not using this device or, at any rate, very minimally because the radiation can damage and limit the formation of brain cells.

One can definitely not do without a cellular phone or the cellular phone antenna. Nevertheless, we can certainly take some steps to cut down the radiation effects to as minimal as possible. Here are a 5 different suggestions:

1. Children should truthfully not use cell phones unless in desperate emergencies. Whenever they have a need to talk over the phone, they had better from normal landlines.

2. Whenever you purchase a cell phone pay particular attention to the SAR (specific absorption rate) element - the smaller the SAR factor is the more beneficial it is for you because the radio emission is to the lowest degree possible.

3. When carrying around a mobile phone, keep the device as distant from your body as possible can. Transport it in pouches, handbags or the like so they can come in contact with the body solely during use.

4. Keep your voice communications as short as you can. This is a beneficial recommendation for the pocket also. Short conversations are not capable of emitting enough radiation to injure the body. If the conversation needs to be long, switch often between one ear and the other one so there is no continual exposure.

5. Cut short the use of the cell phone to a minimum as possible when the reception is bad, as the cellular phone antenna will attempt to boost its power and therefore the radiation to acquire the signals will increase as well.

Mary Lorainne asked:

Everyday, we are bombarded with advertisements that somehow seem to have a significant influence on our purchase decisions. I do not mean that they are purposely bad for you have to admit they do give valuable information to the consumers and they encourage healthy competition. It is just that sometimes advertising causes us to make purchases that may be unnecessary as of the moment. A perfect example would be buying a new cellular phone. You have to ponder upon if it is really time to replace your old reliable mobile unit. I know that there are so many new models with the latest features that you would want to have one yourself but you have to consider if you have a valid reason for buying a new model.

I believe that there are valid reasons when it comes to upgrading to a new phone. If your mobile phone cannot function anymore because it got destroyed and you badly need one, then buying a new phone would be a good option. I suggest that if you find your phone malfunctioning, have it checked by a technician to see if it can be fixed for quite often people just throw out good cellular phones when the problem could just easily be corrected. If you tried to have it fixed and it is beyond repair purchasing a new model is a very valid reason.

If you just want to be “in” by having the latest technological gadget it is still justifiable as long as you have the financial capability to support your luxury. The problem occurs when you buy a new mobile phone and you do not have the money for it. Sure, you can charge it to your credit card but if you will just be paying for the exorbitant interest charges without being able to pay for the amount just yet because you do not have the budget, then I suggest that you forego your plan of purchasing a new phone and stick to the old one you have if it is still usable.

I guess the important aspect that you have to consider is that you could still make and receive calls and keep in touch with people. You can do away for the mean time with camera phones or those with MP3 players or PDA features while you do not have the extra money to spend. Learn to be practical.

Sandra Stammberger asked:

Believe it or not, Nokia traces its roots in the year 1865 when Fredrik Idestam, a mining engineer founded a forest industry in South-Western Finland, the foundation of the Finnish Rubber Works Ltd in 1898, and the Finnish Cable Works 1912. When the ownership of these companies fell into the hands of few people, these three companies gave birth to the Nokia Corporation in 1967.

After the first cellular phone calls in the early part of the 1970s, the wireless technology has been unstoppable. Nokia Corporation capitalized on this. Although the trend during that time is focused on the different electronic gadgets including the personal computers, microchips, satellites, and televisions, first Nokia cellular phone was born in the background using the NMT or the mobile telephone network technology.

In the late eighties, the technological breakthrough brought the Global System for Mobile Communications, which became more popularly known as the GSM. This second-generation mobile phone system is proved to be faster, more efficient and enable users to make international roaming easily. With its dawn, Nokia became global, releasing several Nokia cellular phones to include the Nokia 810 car phone and the Nokia 1011 that is included in the original Nokia cellular phone series.

These units brought forth the evolution of Nokia cellular phones on the large scale.
Shortly, the Nokia cellular phone Ultra basic series was released. Nokia started using the four-digit name to their cellular phones. The product includes the candy bar Nokia 1100, Nokia 1101, and 9 other Nokia cellular phones. Soon the Nokia cellular phone basic series was launch with several other series.

The expression series first released in 1997 with the Nokia 3110 include the most popular 3210 released in 1999 instantly hit big not only in Europe but also in most foreign countries. The active series that gave birth to the Nokia 5110 started the evolution of mobile phones with the Xpress On shell. This series bears the pride of the Nokia’s first phone with a built in MP3 player with the Nokia 5510.

The classic business series popularized by the Nokia 6110 give its appeal to the executive at the turn of the century. The fashion experimental series led by the Nokia 7110 with Nokia’s first phone with a WAP browser.

The premium series or the 8xxx series is known for its style and uniqueness mainly because of its size and exclusivity.

With product innovation that answers both the technological need and the innovative design. Nokia cellular phones launched several other series including the smartphone series. The smartphone series is one of the several next generation Nokia cellular phones in the market. The smartphone imitates the functionality of a personal computer and the compact cellular phone. Nokia models included in this series are the Nokia 9000 Communicator, Nokia 9000i Communicator, Nokia 9110 Communicator, Nokia 9110i Communicator, Nokia 9210 Communicator, Nokia 9210i Communicator, Nokia 9290 Communicator Nokia 9300, and the Nokia 9500 Communicator.

The Eseries and the Nseries, two of the latest additions to the Nokia cellular phone family combine the GMS and the UTMS technology and target the business world with its business functions, and user-friendly features. With superior technology combined with corporate appeal, the N and Eseries generate enough popularity to the right target class.

But not all Nokia cellular phones target the business class; the youth is also included in the targeted market segment of the company. One prime example is the Nokia cellular phone gaming series. Combined with the all cellular phone capability and virtually unlimited gaming features, the Nokia cellular phone gaming series provides mobile game excitement as well as youthful style.

Although consumers witness the insurmountable innovations of Nokia cellular phone in few decades, the company has yet to release the best Nokia cellular phones. As technology progresses right before our eyes, Nokia will surely provide the latest and most innovative phones in the market as they lead in the mobile phone industry throughout the world.

Often times the source of the harassing or obscene calls will show the phone number as unlisted, unpublished, non published, anonymous or private. What is the difference between the phone number labels of unlisted, unpublished, non published, private or anonymous? Nothing.

All the above labels essentially mean the same thing.

Still, continuous, secretive, obscene or harassing phone calls can be very scary and stressful. Even if calls are not threatening they can be of great inconvenience. However, there are various options available to you to put an end to these calls. In most cases, simply uncloaking the individual is enough to bring your problems to swift and successful resolutions.

What type of phone calls are generally considered to be harassing?
- When someone calls and uses obscene or threatening language.
- When someone calls repeatedly and hangs up.
- When someone calls and breathes heavy or remains silent to intimidate you.

How often do I have to get these calls to consider it as harassment?
Generally, any unwelcome call is harassing however your telephone company or law enforcement will not take any action unless calls are frequent. If caller threatens you with specific threats of bodily harm to yourself or your family then the phone company or law enforcement will take prompt action.

What options do I have when I get harassing calls?
The first thing to do is to call your phone company. Different phone companies have different policies on whether you should call the phone company or the police first. Some phone companies may ask you to call the phone company’s local office and explain the problem. Other phone companies may require that you to file a formal complaint with local police before they will deal with the matter. You should contact your local phone company (or your VoIP provider, if you get service from Vonage) and find out what their policy is in matters of harassing calls.

If the threats are serious and your life or property is threatened or if the obscene phone calls are very frequent then you should call your local police immediately and file a report and provide all details and information. You should also note down dates and times of calls and if the caller sounded male or female and describe his/her voice.

If caller said anything or if there was any background noise then note down what the caller said and other details on the background noise. If any phone number was displayed on your caller ID you should note that down too.

What does it mean when sometimes my phone rings and there is no one on the line?
Oftentimes, when you receive frequent hang ups on your phone line it could be that someone is checking to see if you are home or its simply harassment. It could also be calls from telemarketers who use computers for “predictive dialing” to call consumers where the computer dials many phone numbers in a short period of time.

When anyone answers, the computer finds a sales representative who is not occupied at that time and connects the call. If all sales reps are busy then consumer may hear only silence. These type of calls are called “abandoned calls.” If you are receiving many abandoned calls in a day, you can call the annoyance department of your local phone company.

If these repeated calls are from a malicious individual who is harassing you rather than a telemarketer, the phone company will generally report the number to law enforcement.

What options do I have to stop other kinds of unwanted calls?
To avoid unwanted calls you can use many services offered by your phone company. call screen (*60): Your phone can be programmed to reject calls from selected numbers with a service called call screen (Phone companies might use different names). Instead of ringing on your line, these calls are routed to a recording that tells the caller you will not take the call.

With call screen, you can also program your telephone to reject calls from the number of last person who called. This allows you to block calls even if you do not know the phone number. Most phone companies charge a monthly fee for this service.

However, call screen is not a foolproof way to stop unwelcome calls. A determined caller can move to a different phone number to bypass the block. Also, call screen does not work on long distance calls from outside your service area.

You can also use Priority Ringing: You can assign a special ring to calls from up to 10 numbers – calls you are most likely to want to answer. The rest can be routed to voice mail. There are ways callers can get around Priority Ringing when it is used as a screening tool. Harasser can switch phone lines and avoid the distinctive ring.

You can try call return (*69): This service allows you to call back the number of last person who called, even if you are unable to answer the phone. Some people suggest that call return can be used to stop harassing callers by allowing you to call the harasser back without knowing their phone number. Use caution with this method of discouraging harassing callers, however, as it could actually aggravate the problem. This service is paid on a per-use basis.

You can use Caller ID to identify the caller if they are not blocking their number or use a service offered by most phone companies called Privacy Manager. It works with Caller ID to identify incoming calls that have no telephone numbers. Calls identified as “anonymous,” unavailable,” out of area” or “private” must identify themselves in order to complete the call.

Before your phone rings, a recorded message instructs the caller to unblock the call, enter a code number (like inbound call blocking devices mentioned above), or record their name. When your phone rings, you can choose to accept or reject the call, send it to voice mail, or send a special message to telemarketers instructing them to put you on their “do not call” list.

Dealing with a prank caller is one of the most frustrating– and often scariest– experiences you can go through.

What’s interesting is that you never would have thought it’d be such a challenge until you’ve had to actually deal with a prank caller yourself. Here are some “real world” tips for how you can trace cell number, deal with a prank caller– and how to STOP them once and for all:

Tip #1: Report the prank caller

First things first. It’s not uncommon for break-in’s, kidnappings, and even violent crimes to begin with a seemingly “innocent” prank call.

Even if someone just keeps calling you and then hanging up– that’s reason enough to file a complaint, and it only takes a few minutes…

After all, better safe than sorry. Just call your local police and explain the problem. They have standard procedures for dealing with prank callers. (By no means are you the first person in the world who’s dealt with this!)

Tip #2: Trace cell number of the caller

If you think the caller might just be a silly friend– or you don’t want to involve the police yet– the next best thing to do is TRACE the CELL NUMBER of the caller to find the owner.

The fastest way to trace cell number is by simply using caller ID. Almost every phone these days has caller ID, so this step should be easy… if the phone number isn’t listed, or if the call is coming from a cell phone number, you’ll need to run a special lookup.

Tip #3: Run a reverse phone lookup

If you have a number but no name/address, it’s time to conduct a reverse phone lookup. Your results will tell you WHO is calling, WHERE the number is located from, the PHONE COMPANY the number belongs to, and the ADDRESS of the owner (when available).

reverse phone Detective is what we prescribe for fast, discreet, and instant search results. Utilizing proprietary data sources and state-of-the-art technology, they’ll help you find the information you’re looking for… Period!

Phone reports and members area are used by real-life detectives and professional private investigators around the country. And in addition to your search being strictly confidential, your membership fee is backed by their 100% money-back satisfaction guarantee.

So, stop prank callers and get started now!

This week, I had the pleasure of taking my youngest daughter to her kindergarten orientation. It was so cool to see Maya checking out the art classroom, strolling through the little cafeteria, and inspecting the model rocket and mathematics displays on the walls!

I can’t wait to hear about all the great things she’ll be picking up; she’s a real talker, so I know she’ll tell me everything.

Sure, I know she’ll make some mistakes along the way (we all do), but I’ll be glad as long as she learns from them and tries not to make the same ones twice.

Unfortunately . . . this lesson doesn’t seem to have sunk in for a close friend of mine, Gladys, who’s been getting really horrible, crank phone calls for the past two months. I’ve tried telling her, “. . . you can locate the owner of any phone . . . if you know where to look.”

Searching For The Phone Number

Your first stop should be a “reverse phone number directory.” Plenty of these websites are now accessible on the Internet. Usually, they ask you to enter the entire number, including the area code, and hit “Search.” If the number is a published land line, you might get the data you need, including the name of the owner and her/ his address. Even if the number is unlisted, you can still get it from Intelius.com.

If you’re feeling lucky, your search could stop right there. In most cases, you’ll need to look at this from a slightly different way.

Usually, the reason you’ll run into a snafu is that the number belongs to a cell phone. Because there is no central database of cell phone numbers that’s free of charge, a free reverse phone directory cannot return information on those numbers. You also won’t be able to get information on landline numbers that are unlisted or non-published. I mention that only because Intelius has probably the largest database (more than 2 billion entries) and is able to find upwards of 90% of unpublished phone numbers. So, don’t bother trying multiple reverse phone directories in order to find the owner of a phone number, either. Most use the same databases, so if you don’t score results at one then you won’t fare any better at another site.

Finding the Phone’s Owner

Instead, you may have to use a paid site. For a reasonable fee, you can access more search options to get the information you need to find someone’s cell phone number. Some databases gives you accurate, up-to-date information using both land line and cell phone searches.

Other exclusive databases include broad coverage of the entire US with admirable results than you will find at most other websites. They also give you free search assistance and access to their expanded people search databases.

The web is vibrant and advanced, but, with the use of our personal PCs, we can accomplish so much from our own living rooms.

From acquiring endless info on any topic, to tracing people we have lost touch with long ago — there are just so many things we used to do at a moment’s notice, that we would dread doing nowadays, since we’ve been exposed to the Internet. Our computers have made it all so convenient.

We shop at home, we bank at home, we order food online, we read books online, and we even send emails electronically.

There’s not even a reason to pick up the phone if you have Instant Messenger (IM). We live in a world made simple by computers and cyberspace. But, just how much of our information is floating around on the internet?

Some suggest they only used peer-to-peer (P2P) clients because they are safer. However, the following video undermines that whole idea by showing how easy it is to waltz right on into someone’s Shareaza client.

To take matters further, about a year ago, I wanted to get in touch with a friend from college.

I hadn’t seen him for more than few years (not wanting to reveal my age!), and apparently lost his email address. That’s always a bummer. No worries.

Mostly anybody can resort to tracing people on their personal computer. Some websites even offer a free search option at first. I took full advantage of this. I was able to locate his most current address. Now, just to be clear, this process can be a bit tedious if your subject has a very common name such as Michael Johnson. Many of these will pop up. If you know their middle initial, use it.

Anyway, this process of tracing people on the web proved handy and effective for me. This got me to thinking. How easy can we all find out so much about one another? This is a down-side to the Internet. I don’t know that I want everyone having so much access. Anyone with a computer and Internet access can find me, as long as they have my first and last name.

You can even get online services that will really help you with this process. From reverse addresses, to social security numbers, to current phone numbers; it all can be found. So how safe are we from the criminals of the world?

I won’t dispute that tracing people online is convenient and sometimes a helpful service. But, take a look at most sites you visit. They’re tracing cell phones all the time. That’s why ads pertaining to your current location constantly pop up. They have your IP address. Yes indeed, the Internet is helpful, but it’s also harmful in ways . . .

Not sure about other people, but my absolute all-time favorite singer is, little Miss. Hannah Montana! Lot of people swear she’s soooo funny and cool . . . more importantly, she takes a real interest in people in her audience and their lives. I’ve found, in recent months, that I’ve wanted to tell her what an impact she’s had on me. But, I lived in a completely different state.

I tried calling the school she used to go to, but since she’s no longer there, they wouldn’t release any information about her. Guess you could say I was sort of left without any options. I thought it was quite sad that I would never be able to tell her what a great performer she was.

The thing about Hannah, aside from the fact that she’s slated to become a billionaire by the time she’s 18, is that she always has a fresh smile on her face (see picture above) and from all I can tell (and though I’ve been wrong before), she favors me out of all of her other fans! There, I’ve said it!

That is quite all right, because she is my favorite singer for sure. I just recently realized what a profound impact she has really had on me and how much more of an impact she might have if I had an actual live and working Hannah Montana’s phone number! That’d be sooooo boss!

Here’s what I came up with . . .

I mean, I actually found myself wanting to tell her what an impact she had on me and a friend told me about www.ReverseMobile.com. It is the ultimate resource for people like me, who want to conduct a free phone search (or maybe not exactly free), but those who don’t have very much information, like me.

You simply type in the name of the person you are looking for, and you are immediately given access to all sorts of information, including address, phone number, and much more. I was able to find Hannah Montana’s phone number and address quite easily. When I called, she couldn’t believe it! I finally got to tell her exactly what she had meant to me while I was in her audience, and even over the years! It’s TRUE!

You can find anyone you need to find as well (including <a href="http://blogs.icerocket.com/tag/<a+relpost="nofollow"+href='http://usacellsearch.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-affiliate-pro.php?id=34'+target="_blank">Miley+Cyrus’s+phone+number" rel="tag">Miley Cyrus’s phone number. Whether you’re searching for a long lost friend, a favorite singer, or the one who got away, you can use this website to find out information on that person. You can get serious information there too. If you are trying to find out public records, arrest records, civil records, or something similar, you can do it there. You can conduct employee searches, find lost friends, or if you want to find out about the people you’ve been exposing your children to . . . it’s all available to you. All you need is a name! Start your search today so you can tell that one special person just how much they meant to you!

If you think the caller might just be a silly friend– or you don’t want to involve the police yet– the next best thing to do is TRACE CELL NUMBER of the caller to find the owner.

Run your reverse phone search below.
